The LG V30 is already available at a number of carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. But if you prefer to purchase your phones unlocked for whatever reason, you were out of luck - until now, that is. The unlocked V30 is now up for pre-order at B&H for a not-insignificant $829.99.

LG V30 enters the JerryRigEverything torture chamber, emerges mostly unscathed

The LG V30 was announced way back at IFA almost two months ago, but it's only just started shipping to consumers. This phone is almost unbelievably light but that doesn't mean it's not sturdy. The latest LG phone has gone through usual JerryRigEverything durability tests and it managed to remain in one piece.

TWRP now supports Galaxy A3 Duos, ASUS Zenfone 4 Max, and more

TWRP is still the best custom recovery available, giving Android users a better way to flash ROMs and back up their devices. Part of the reason it's so great is that can be ported to new devices fairly easily. Since we last covered the project earlier this month, a few more phones have been added to the roster.

Sprint LG G6 gets Calling PLUS feature in latest update, becomes fourth phone to do so

If you're not a Sprint customer who's in-tune with all the carrier's quirks and features, you probably haven't heard of Calling PLUS. After all, only three phones currently support it - that is, until now. The LG G6 has become the fourth Sprint phone to support Calling PLUS with this latest update.

[Deal Alert] Get an unlocked AT&T LG V20 for just $289.99 on eBay with $50 off coupon

The V20 is no longer the most current V-series phone from LG, but it's still a great phone. And the fact that the V30 is out only means that there are more discounts for the older model. Case in point: an eBay seller is offering up unlocked AT&T V20s up for just $289.99 with a $50 discount.

[Update: Stay away] Deal alert: Unlocked T-Mobile LG G5 (H830T) is just $199.99 on eBay

When it was announced, the LG G5 got a lot of hate for its - let's face it - ugly design and poor build quality. But those things, which are easily alleviated by a case, overshadowed a lot of the G5's good qualities. While its exterior downfalls made its $600-700 MSRP a little ambitious, the story changes when the phone is just a fraction of that price. And with this T-Mobile/unlocked model's $199.99 sale price, the G5 is definitely worth a look.

[Not So Exclusive] US Cellular joins Sprint in offering the LG V30+ alongside regular V30

Sprint was strutting around last week, telling us all that it was going to be the only "major carrier" to offer the LG V30+ this month. However, it turns out the accuracy of that statement really depends on your definition of "major." US Cellular has just announced that it has launched both the V30 and the V30+ on its major-ish network.

[Update: T-Mobile also has it now] LG V30 is now available to order in the US from Verizon or AT&T

The LG V30 is one of this year's most anticipated flagship phones, and with good reason. It's a clear upgrade on the excellent LG G6 from earlier in the year, and it's set to go toe-to-toe with the S8, Note8, and Google's incoming Pixel 2 XL (also made by LG). The phone already started shipping last month in its native South Korea, which is the norm for LG devices, but now it's possible to order one in the US through Verizon or AT&T.

[Update: Googler confirms Google Store now only stocks in-house hardware] Android Wear section vanishes from Google Store, with LG Watch Sport and Style now showing as "no longer available"

Android Wear isn't an especially popular platform these days, but plenty of people still use it - enough for Google to have released two new smartwatches, the LG Watch Sport and Watch Style, earlier this year. But just eight months after their release, the Android Wear page has disappeared from the Google Store's home page. And more interestingly, both the Watch Sport and Watch Style are now marked as "no longer available."

Guide: The best phones and tablets for LineageOS

The following post was written by Ryne Hager and Corbin Davenport.

The vast majority of Android device buyers don't know or care what a custom ROM is. And that's completely fine - a phone or tablet's stock ROM will be enough for 99.9% of potential users. But for the 0.1% that like to tinker, the development community surrounding a given device can drastically impact the value. Your purchase can become a much better deal if there is a wealth of custom ROM options available, extending its lifespan for possibly years (and nearly a decade for the HD2).

There are quite a few popular custom ROMs in the wild, but LineageOS is probably one of the best overall.
