If you are looking for a new Android phone, whether to upgrade your existing Android device or get introduced to the platform, pre-orders are now available in the UK for the Samsung Galaxy S.
The Galaxy S and the HTC EVO were among the biggest Android related announcements at the recent CTIA in Las Vegas.
Samsung did not hold back with this phone either, dropping some serious hardware into it that will make any Android fan foam at the mouth, specifically related to the screen. Read More
In a surprising turn of events, it’s beginning to look like Samsung’s latest Android superphone, the Galaxy S, may be headed to a carrier near you.
Forbes is reporting that an analyst for Broadpoint.AmTech, Mark McKechnie, ‘expects the Galaxy S to be sold at AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint before the end of June and to be picked up at Verizon "sometime later in the year"’. Those are certainly promising words, and Forbes seems to have enough faith in this prediction to run with it, but it should be noted that Samsung has declined to comment on carrier availability. An internal Sprint memo has surfaced showing a new early May release date for both HTC Hero and Samsung Moment Android phones, jonathan76888 on AndroidForums found out.
The memo looks quite legitimate and this time actually lists 2.1 as the update target, compared to the one from 3 weeks ago that referenced a "maintenance release" and promised an April 9th date (followed by rumors of April 16th, all false).

Yesterday was an incredible day for us consumers! After only the first day of the 3-day CTIA Wireless 2010 mobile conference we've already seen some amazing new phones scheduled for release in the upcoming few months, such as the HTC EVO 4G.
Samsung did not remain on the sidelines either yesterday and demonstrated its new version of the Galaxy, called Galaxy S model GT-I9000. S seems to stand for either "Smart Life" (sigh, another custom Android flavor?) or Speed, just like the iPhone 3GS. Read More
