iPhone Now Runs Android Too. Wait. WHAT? Is "Flash Coming To iPhone" Going To Be Our Next Headline?

Today has been absolutely nuts - first 3 new Android phones leaked from Dell. Then, another tablet, also from Dell.

And now we have this: a Canadian Linux hacker by the name of Planetbeing posted a 9 minute video of an iPhone 2G running Android. Yes, that is an Android 1.5 or 1.6 dual booted on an iPhone running the iPhone OS.

Planetbeing, being a smart cookie that he is, has ported Linux to run on iPhone hardware over a year ago.

Guy From HTC Showcases Droid Incredible In A Video At Wirefly's HQ - This Is Hands Down The Best Video To Send To Your Friends New To Android

The HTC Droid Incredible hasn't even come out yet but we've already seen plenty of videos of it in action.

This video shot at Wirefly.com's headquarters, however, shows a 14 minute walkthrough by a man by the name of Manny who knows how to showcase the phone best. Why? Because he actually works for HTC and tells the story the way HTC itself wanted you to hear it.

In the video, Manny doesn't just jump around all over the place but instead starts the way a completely new customer would - by logging in.

HTC Droid Incredible Review Roundup. Consensus: It's The Best Android Phone On The Market, Hands Down

The Incredible review units have been arriving to some of the big sites in the past week, and the embargo is now off. Here I've assembled a collection of the best available review posts and videos, so that you can get the full Incredible experience before committing to a pre-order.

The general consensus is: it's an amazing device, better than anything available in the US right now (Motorola Droid, Nexus One, etc) and yes, you should go get it.

Flash Delayed Until 2H 2010, Android Tablet Makers Weep

Another day, another delay. Recently, Fox Business News sat down with Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen to talk about their new Creative Suite 5 and the controversy regarding Apple excluding Flash from their recent software updates when he let slip that a mobile version of Flash on a variety of platforms, including Android, will be available in the second half of the year.

You can find full video here, but I've excerpted the juicy bits below:

We have a number of excited partners who are working aggressively with us to bring Flash to their devices whether they be smartphones, as well as handsets, and so companies like Google and RIM and Palm are going to be releasing Flash on smartphones and tablets in the second half of the year.

Secret Unlock Codes Found For Motorola Droid - Make Your Android Superhuman

Wait, isn't an Android already superhuman or not human at all? Anyway… these videos were posted by a YouTube user DROIDshortcuts, most likely one of Motorola's marketing handles, and then sent over to us by the folks from M80 - a company that works with Motorola on promotions for the Droid.

These videos, shot in an amateur style, are actually quite funny and well made.

Our favorite is the pool one.

Droid Owners Have A Bittersweet Week

It’s been both a good and bad news week for Droid owners.

The Good News

The coveted Android 2.1 update has finally officially arrived to the device.

Android 2.1 was first available only on the Nexus One, a move that Google took some flack for. They were instrumental in pushing the Droid, and shortly after its release late last year, Google announced their first Google branded Android device, with features that other Android owners wouldn’t see on their phones for quite some time.

HTC Posts an Evo 4G First Look Video - We Share It, Yawning

HTC likes professionally shot videos - they've released at least one for each new phone announced in the recent history.

We have no problem with that - we can appreciate a good quality HD video showing this desirable beast up close.

What we do have a problem with is how boring this video is. Evo is flying around the screen to some lounge music in the most mind-numbing way possible; there is no voice-over - just a rundown of the main features.

MOTO Labs Team Hires C-3PO To Perform Screen Accuracy Tests. iPhone, N1, Eris Best; Droid, Pre, Storm 2 Worst

Did you know Motorola has a Labs team that does cool things and then blogs about them? They're pretty cool like that. Correction: interesting piece of trivia - did you know MOTO Labs actually has nothing to do with Motorola? With a name like MOTO, one could think… well never mind, I apologize for the mistake.

The Finger Test

For example, in January they tested the screens on 4 flagship mobile phones by swiping a finger across the screen in a drawing app and recording the resulting patterns, complete with photos and a video.

HTC EVO 4G/Supersonic Playing 720P HD Video Through HDMI, Without A Single Stutter. This Changes *Everything*

It's amazing how far mobile CPUs have gone in just 6 months. Here we have a video, courtesy of IntoMobile, of the newly announced HTC EVO 4G, formerly Supersonic, absolutely effortlessly playing a 720P HD video of Prince of Persia: The Sand Of Time.

HD video is more CPU intensive than plain standard definition, but the 1GHz Snapdragon processor is barely breaking a sweat. For comparison, the HTC Hero with its 528MHz processor can barely play average quality videos, even ones it itself recorded, and stumbles every few seconds.
