FrontRow is a $400 livestream-capable wearable with two cameras and a circular touchscreen

Wearable tech may not be doing so well these days, with companies like Motorola pulling out of the smartwatch game and Google Glass not having the greatest reputation with the public, but that doesn't mean everyone's giving up on it. Ubiquiti has debuted the FrontRow, a wearable camera with a round display that enables the "effortless capture and sharing of life's experiences." Oh, and it's $400.

Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro leak points to offline Spotify support, a stronger clasp, and more

Samsung has stuck with wearables over the years, starting with its own Android-based Gear watches, then moving to Android Wear, then finally to a Tizen-based wearable platform. This has given Samsung the freedom to pursue a number of form factors like the "Fit" smart bands. The third iteration of Samsung's Fit device has been leaked, which is confusingly named "Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro." It packs improved water-resistance, offline Spotify, and a few other enhancements for athletic types.

Fitbit's upcoming smartwatch leaks with ugly design and potentially improved fitness sensors

Fitbit took mercy on Pebble last year, acquiring parts of the company when it came crashing down last year. While Fitbit isn't building any more Pebbles, it is in the process of creating a new Fitbit smartwatch. A few images have leaked before, but the latest round of leaks show this watch off from every (ugly) angle.

Samsung and TUMI launch the Gear S3 Frontier TUMI Special Edition

When discussing smartwatches, most of us agree that Samsung's Gear S3 is one of the best. It's my personal favorite and I think that Sammy did a great job with it. However, as seems to be the trend these days, the Korean company has paired up with TUMI, a "travel lifestyle brand," to bring us a special version of the Gear S3 Frontier. Thanks!

[It lives!!!] Google Glass emerges from 2-year silence with new Enterprise Edition and wider availability to partners

What's that strange feeling? Almost like I've seen a ghost. Oh, Google Glass isn't dead after all? That'll be it. There have been recent signs that the seemingly abandoned experimental wearable might be making a return in one form or another, more than 2 years after the Glass Explorer Program officially ended. The first was an update to the MyGlass app last month, after lying dormant for nearly 3 years. This was followed the next day by a mysterious firmware update making its way to any Glass Explorer Edition units still in use. Google has confirmed that was regular maintenance to the consumer device, and not related to this fresh news about the Glass Enterprise Edition that Alphabet's experimental X subsidiary (formerly Google[x]) has been busy working on for the last two years.

A new accessory in Japan will allow Pokémon Go Plus users to wear it like a ring

Last year we saw the release of a wearable armband for Pokémon Go that not only allowed you to catch Pokémon but also allowed interaction with Pokéstops, all without taking your phone out of your pocket. This wearable is known as the Pokémon Go Plus. Well, it would appear that Japan is getting a new Pokémon Go Plus accessory that allows you to wear the device on your finger instead of on your arm. That's right, there's a new ring attachment available for the Pokémon Go Plus in Japan.

Ticwatch S & E are affordable but stylish Android Wear devices, coming soon from Mobvoi

It's a bit of a strange time in the smartwatch world right now. The novelty seems to have worn off a little, and while some have really bought into the scene, many remain skeptical (myself included). Android Wear 2.0 was delayed, as was its eventual roll out to compatible devices. At the same time, luxury brands have tried to ignite some interest, with Tag Heuer's $1,500 Connected Modular 45 leading the charge. Just yesterday, Louis Vuitton announced the Tabour Horizon, starting at $2,450. Thankfully, Mobvoi has got us regular folk covered, with two affordable new devices that have just smashed their Kickstarter goal.

Louis Vuitton announces the Tambour Horizon Android Wear watch, starts at $2,450

Despite attempts to the contrary, the smartwatch industry has slowed. Surprisingly, it's been the luxury brands that have kept Android Wear alive well into 2017. Some of their efforts have been disappointing, but that hasn't stopped Louis Vuitton from tossing its hat into the ring. This is the Tambour Horizon, a smartwatch whose price starts at the paltry sum of $2,450.

[Deal Alert] Huawei Watch 2 on sale for $264.99 ($35 off) via eBay

We're still waiting to see if Android Wear 2.0 does any favors for the platform, but in the meantime it's tough to justify spending a lot on a new smartwatch. The Huawei Watch 2 starts at $300, but you can get one for $35 off today on eBay. That's more probably justifiable for Android nerds.
